Connect Owncast with your Owncast host, an access token, and a webhook.
Connect Owncast
Section titled “Connect Owncast”-
Open the Synchra Dashboard, go to your channel integrations, and choose Owncast.

Enter the public URL of your Owncast server.

In Owncast Admin, open Integrations, Access Tokens, and create an access token named
Synchra. -
Select
Can send chat messages on behalf of the owner of this tokenandCan perform administrative actions such as moderation, get server statuses, etc.. TheCan send official messages on behalf of the systempermission is not required. -
Paste the access token into Synchra and save it.

Copy the webhook URL from Synchra.

In Owncast Admin, open Integrations, Webhooks, and create a webhook with the copied URL.

Click
Select all, thenOK.
Owncast can be used for unified chat, bot messages, stream title updates, live status, stream preview, and hiding chat messages.
Common issues
Section titled “Common issues”Not receiving chat messages
Section titled “Not receiving chat messages”Owncast sends chat messages to Synchra through the webhook you create in your Owncast instance. If chat messages are not appearing in Synchra, open the Owncast provider in the Synchra Dashboard and copy the webhook URL shown there.
Then open Owncast Admin, go to Integrations > Webhooks, and make sure a webhook exists with that exact URL. If it is missing or different, create a new webhook with the Synchra URL, click Select all, then OK.
